Jalapeno and Cheese Burger from Core De Force eating plan

Jalapeno and Cheddar Cheese Burgers with Lettuce Bun | Clean Eating Recipes

This was my Day #2 dinner on the Core De Force Eating Plan, and it was another delicious and easy recipe!

Jalapeno Cheddar Burgers Clean EatingI really liked the jalapenos in this, it gave it a little spice but not overwhelming at all. The cheddar cheese mixed right in with the beef makes it melt when you cut open which is just so good, and gives it just the right amount of cheese flavor without destroying your clean eating diet.

I atethis on a lettuce bun with tomato and red onion, but you could also put it on a whole-wheat bun.

Makes 4 Serving! We bough a pound of 95% lean ground sirloin; but you could also use ground turkey if you wanted to make a turkey burger version of this .

Jalapeno and Cheddar Cheese Burger Cooking Directions:

I made these in a pan with a pinch of olive oil to prevent sticking, but a better method would be the broiler, or even better would be the grill!

Prepare the burgers by mixing the sirloin, jalapenos, cheese, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. I mixed these by hand, then rolled them into a ball and flattened into about 1″ thick patties.

Grill for 4 – 6 minutes on each side, until charred. This will make the burgers about medium-rare. If you’d like them more well done, cook for longer periods.

Serve on a lettuce lef with tomato & onion. If you use two lettuce leaves you can grab it like a burger 🙂 I used some chipotle hot sauce on mine as well, which was delicious!
