Beachbody Coaching for Family

What Beachbody Coaching Means to Me

I want to write to you all so you can hear from me what being a Beachbody coach has done for my family and exactly how it has changed and will continue to change things for us. This is a long post guys, and I struggled with sharing this, but I know a lot of people out there can relate to our situation, and I really hope you take the time to read!

When I had Landon 2 1/2 years ago and left my teaching career to become a stay at home mom, Nick and I struggled. We knew it would be difficult to make ends meet with just one income coming in, but even knowing that we didn’t anticipate how hard it would be. After a few months we had gone through most of our savings. Nick was running a lot of side jobs on top of his full time job to help us make ends meet, but we were still falling short every month. So I started tutoring 4 nights a week. I’d leave around 6 and most nights wouldn’t come back until 9. I hated having to leave but was willing to do whatever it took so I could stay home with Landon. And you want to know the truth??? We STILL were struggling! We always knew we wanted to have a big family if things worked out as planned, so when Landon was 10 months old we found out we were expecting baby #2! We were so excited! But at the same time stressed as ever because if we were barely making ends meet with just one child, how the heck were we going to make it work with 2 children now? My dream was to always be a stay at home mom once I had children, and I always had the stress of wondering if I was going to be able to continue to do that.

As time went by and we started adjusting to having 2 children we realized that basically there was just no way we could make ends meet with me giving up my teaching salary. At this point it had been about 2 full years without my teacher salary coming in and we were starting to really struggle. We were going down a bad path, financially. Nick and I started talking about how I would probably have to go back to teaching. We tried to figure out how much longer we could keep going with me being home – because even though he had a great job, we needed my salary in addition to that. It was such a heavy feeling having to carry this burden. There was just no way I could possibly leave my kids after having the luxury of being able to stay home with them every day. My heart ached even thinking about it. Being a stay at home mom isn’t for everyone but for me it was.

It’s all about timing and it’s really funny how things work out in life. It was at this time my coach brought up the coaching opportunity. It took me 3 months to commit to doing it because Nick and I were so skeptical but my gosh, THANK GOD I took the chance! So much doubt crossed my mind and honestly I didn’t have high expectations at all when I joined. I was just hoping to get healthy, lose my baby weight and give this a shot in combination with tutoring so I could stay with my babes. Within one month of coaching I was doubling what I was making tutoring and it just kept going up! I finally was able to stop tutoring because at this point it made more sense for me to focus my free time at night on this business vs. tutoring.

My WHY has always been my kids. I do this for them. It has been the MAIN thing in the back of my mind. It is what drives me to stay awake late every night until 12:30 a.m even though I may feel sick or be exhausted because we had a hard day. THEY are what keeps me pushing through when I get the negative nay sayers. They drive me through the multiple bumps along the road that have tried to stop me these past 8 months as a coach and made me ride harder and faster vs slowing me down and considering quitting. I’m happy to say that at this point the money I am making has totally replaced and actually exceeded what I was making when I was a teacher. I am now able to continue to stay home with them and the fear of having to leave them and go back to teaching doesn’t even cross my mind because things just keep getting better and better! This is incredible for us but like I mentioned before…..all those years of NOT working got us into some debt. But it’s nice to know that we are finally in a position that we are now actually paying it down week by week instead of adding to it; and we will have it completely paid off this April.

I’m sorry this is so long guys but I wanted to share my story. I very rarely open up about personal things but it has been incredible how this opportunity has literally changed everything for us in our lives and is continuing to do so in ways that I would have never imagined. No matter what your career path is, I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a clear, focused, and POWERFUL WHY. Something so strong that no matter what happens on your journey it will PUSH you through it and keep reaching for the top so you can achieve your goals and your dreams too! One of the things I LOVE about this business is being able to help and give back.

Things aren’t always going to be easy and people have much more difficult things going on in their lives but everyone has their own cross to bear. Things aren’t always going to go your way and there will be obstacles along the way that will try to derail you, but it will sure as heck be worth the trip if you fight for what you want and truly believe in it and have that belief in yourself.
