Four TIPS for Reaching your New Years Goals!

I LOVE New Year’s because a New Year is a kick in the BOOTY to make positive CHANGE happen in your life! So let’s make 2016 your best year EVER!

Most people set half-hearted resolutions, go a few weeks towards them, and then quit, and will hope for a better 2017.

NOT YOU! You are going to TAKE THIS YEAR and OWN it!! It’s YOUR YEAR to make BIG things happen!

Here are FOUR TIPS to STICK to your resolutions and goals in 2016, no matter what they are!

  1. Set goals that MOTIVATE you! Take 30 seconds, and close your eyes. Seriously, I’m not kidding, close them! And IMAGINE, if you could have the perfect day, what it would LOOK like – use your senses. How would it feel, smell, taste. Who would be there? Where would you be? Got it? GOOD – NOW, take that vision for your ideal day and create a GOAL that moves you towards it! That will help KEEP you motivated!
  2. WRITE your goals DOWN! I used to think this was a bunch of crap, but seriously, write your goals DOWN and then LOOK at them, every day! I have mine on my phone wallpaper and my laptop background. I even wrote some of them on sticky notes on the mirror in my bathroom, so I start each day with INTENTION!
  3. Make a PLAN! A goal without a plan doesn’t get you anywhere. Once you have set a destination, you need to know how to get there! So backtrack from it and think about the small, daily things you need to do. Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed, keep it simple. For example, if you want to lose 20 pounds, know that it won’t happen overnight. You can make SMALL sacrifices, over TIME, to see the change you want! But know that things take time and consistency. Any goal you have for a 2016 – don’t expect it to happen by the end of January 🙂
  4. Keep Going and Focus on your WHY! Everyone has setbacks in their journey towards their goals. What determines your success is not what you do when things are easy; but what you do when they are HARD! So make sure you keep your motivations that you set in Step #1 is in your mind when you encounter the hurdles that ALWAYS happen!
