I am SO excited about Cafe Latte Shakeology! This is a brand NEW flavor of Shakeology that was just released this week. My order is IN and it should be delivered today or early next week! When I get it in I will post a longer review of it!
For those of you who know me or have been following me for a while, I usually drink Chocolate Shakeology. My go-to recipe is:
- Chocolate Shakeology
- Peanut Butter (2 tsp)
- Almond Milk (4 oz)
- Chilled Coffee (4 oz)
- 5 – 6 ice cubes
SO, now I can get that COFFEE FLAVOR without needing to blend it ~with~ coffee! (although my husband says he will probably still blend it with coffee – haha!)
Does Café Latte contain more caffeine than the other Shakeology flavors?
I have already had this question a few times, and the answer might surprise you – it is NO! C
Caffeine levels in Café Latte are exactly the same as all the other Shakeology flavors. So even though it tastes like coffee, Café Latte contains 75% less caffeine than an 8 oz. cup of coffee.
How does Café Latte Shakeology taste?
It’s AWESOME! Here’s the thing – it’s not as COFFEE flavored as you would think. It’s very smooth, rich and robust, and not bitter at all. It tastes a little like a blended frappuccino or coolata type of drink. They called it Cafe Latte for a reason – it’s not strictly COFFEE flavored. Plus like all Shakeology you get all the dense superfood nutrition. YUM!
Café Latte Shakeology uses WHOLE Coffee Fruits
It’s formulated with WHOLE Coffee Fruit —a coveted superfood powerhouse that’s native to regions of Mexico and India. Coffee fruit is the red fleshy fruit that surrounds what we know to be the coffee bean! Not only does Café Latte taste great, but the use of the entire plant also minimizes Shakeology’s carbon footprint.
What options are there for Café Latte Shakeology?
Like other Shakeology flavors, you can get it in a 30 day supply in a bag, OR a box of 24 packets. But, it’s also part of the new Barista Triple Combo Box. This pack contains 24 single-serving packets of Café Latte, Vanilla, and Chocolate Shakeology (8 per flavor), so you can mix and match your shakes like a true barista.
My Honest Review of Café Latte Shakeology
Updated 1/16! OK, so I FINALLY got my bag in today. And it did NOT DISAPPOINT. I am definitely switching all monthly order orders to this. I remember way back in college I used to go through the Dunkin Donuts drive through and drink Coffee Coolatas – or even worse; I would go to Starbucks and get a Frappuccino. well – this is what it tastes like! It’s super smooth consistency.
Seriously, I made mine tonight right when it came in with almond milk, 1/2 a banana, a couple ice cubes, and 2 tsp peanut butter. It was like HEAVEN! I might try later with some cocoa powder also but I wanted to really get the taste for the Cafe Latte flavor all by itself to start.
